How To Disable Windows 8 Lock Screen
In the earlier post we provided the Keyboard Shortcuts List for Windows 8. If you are using Windows 8 Consumer Preview, then you are aware of the new Lock Screen which comes during the startup. Some of them will like the new Lock Screen as it makes our desktop looks pretty beautiful, while some of them won’t like as it takes more time in booting.
Even though Windows 8 facilitates to tweak both the Start and Lock Screen UI elements, it doesn’t provide an option to disable it permanently. However we can manage the settings using the Local Group Policy Editor with Administrator rights.

How To Disable Windows 8 Lock Screen:
1. Open the Start screen and search for gpedit.msc, then click on the result to open the application.
2. In the Local Group policy Editor drill to below path:
Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Control Panel -> Personalization
3. On the right-hand side, you will need to double click on the “Do not display the lock screen” setting and check the option “enabled”.
